We are organizing the 1st Multiple Art Forum to disseminate the conclusions from the research in this contemporary art field, with the collaboration of the Telefónica Foundation, Pilar i Joan Miró Foundation, Research Group dx5 from Universidad de Vigo, and the Institute of Contemporary Art, all of them coordinated by Javier Blas.
We are also working on a Collecting Forum around the art edition as a specific form of collecting or as the first steps in the direction of creating collections. Especially with respect to its relationship with the business world, where different businessmen will share their experience as collectors, and on how this activity has influenced their work and social relationships.
1st Multiple Art Forum
The 1st Multiple Art Forum has been created with an objective that is twofold: first, to function as a meeting and dissemination platform of all the different research lines around multiple art and edition.
Second, to serve as a conceptual groundwork to Estampa Multiple Art, a fair that opened its doors nineteen years ago as an engraving showroom, and which it now renews its activity by projecting its interests toward all the possible manifestations of contemporary art editions: digital image, video, books, sound, photography, and multiple sculptural art or traditional graphics, to the point of reaching the new proposals of industrial design whose creativity is very much associated to the creative processes of contemporary art, and its production has many coincidences with the limited editions.
Above everything else, the idea that it considers is to put scientific research under the service of the art market, by considering it as a department of research, innovation, and development of a great company comprised of galleries, editors, artists, and creators whose communication strategies must adapt and update themselves to the evolution of social demand.

COLLECTING FORUM
It will be celebrated in a room annexed to the VIP room, inside the fair, in IFEMA
Saturday, October 22, 2011, 11:00–12:00 p.m. and 12:30 p.m. –13:30 p.m.
Admission: 10 €. Fee includes entrance to both forums, indistinctively. In case of attending only one of them, the fee will remain the same. Admission to the forums is independent from the general admission to the fair (Fee 10€) To register, you need to facilitate us your Spanish National ID or passport number and purchase your admission tickets one hour prior to the celebration of the forums in the abovementioned room.
