ESTAMPA PROJECTS

It is an initiative of the fair, intended for organizing exhibitions, managing editions, creating publications, and promoting forums and debate series. They will take place throughout the whole year, and they will be celebrated in collaboration with different entities and institutions that encourage contemporary and experimental art, as well as the timeliness of its collecting.

Pablo Palazuelo, Catalogue Raisonné.

Estampa and the Palazuelo Foundation have agreed to the edition of a catalogue raisonné of the graphic work by the artist from Madrid. It is a work made by the Director of the Fair, which will be coming out thanks to the collaboration of the Palazuelo Foundation and of its president José Rodríguez-Spiteri Palazuelo.

This publication gathers the entire graphic work by Palazuelo from 1948 until 1996, and it studies the particular relationship between his creative processes and the procedures of prints, as well as his relationship with publishers and institutions that illuminated his engravings, lithographs, and artists' books.

With this publication, Estampa Projects would like to start a collection devoted to the comprehensive cataloging of the work of Spanish artists whose material is being studied and collected, and awaits its definitive publication.

SON Sound Art

On April 8 and 9, the Auditorio Nacional de Música (National Auditorium of Music) hosted a small event under the title of SON.
SON is a proposal by Musicadhoy, whose objective is to give way to the latest generation of artists who work with new ways of understanding sound.

Thus, from highly diverse disciplines, from electronic music and performance, to new sound installations and audiovisual works, this proposal reveals the impressive creative level of a new generation of artists who are concerned about sound and its relation to society.

The program will go beyond the framework of the chamber concert hall of the Auditorium with four concerts that will extend themselves out to the foyer and transit areas of the same through performances and installations. Chema de Francisco, Director of Estampa, participates as commissioner of the selection of installations along with Miguel Álvarez-Fernández and Rubén Gutiérrez del Castillo, who have programmed the concerts.

SON
has the sponsorship of the Caja Madrid Foundation, Ministry of Culture, the Regional Government of Madrid, the journal El País, and the collaboration of Estampa Projects and In-sonora, with the coordination of Rebeca Largo and the artistic direction of Xavier Güell.
